Three KHL players are part of the Slovak national team for the qualifying matches for the 2026 Olympic Games

The composition of the national team has been determined Slovakia for the qualifying matches for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The list includes three players playing in the KHL: forward Adam Liszka (Severstal), as well as defenders Martin Gernat (Lokomotiv) and Mario Grman (Admiral).

Earlier in August, the Slovak Hockey Federation announced that hockey players playing for Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) clubs could be called up to the country’s national team again. In May, the federation did not call up players from KHL clubs to the World Championship, citing the hockey players’ “personal situation” as the reason.

Olympic qualifying will take place from August 29 to September 1.
