“According to my information, one of the main goaltenders, Yaroslav Askarov, has informed the management of the Nashville Predators that he does not plan to join their AHL farm club for the upcoming season and is requesting a trade,” Weeks wrote on the social network X.
Recall that Askarov, 22, moved abroad at the age of 19. During two seasons in North America, he played only three games for the main team of Nashville, the rest of the time playing for the Milwaukee Admirals farm club in the American Hockey League.
This summer, it was announced that the goaltender would likely play for the Admirals again.
It is noteworthy that at the end of last season Askarov took second place in statistical indicators among the league goalkeepers.
