Hockey players SKA turned out to be stronger “Sochi” during a friendly match that the teams played as part of their training camp in Krasnaya Polyana.
The match ended in favor of the St. Petersburg team with a score of 3:2 after extra time. During regular time, Ivan Vydrenkov and Arseniy Gritsyuk scored for the winners; Nikolai Chebykin and Alexander Suvorov scored for Sochi.
In extra time, SKA’s victory was brought by a goal from Borna Rendulic, assisted by the team’s star newcomers Nikita Zaitsev and Evgeniy Kuznetsov.
The new KHL season begins on September 3. SKA will play away against Metallurg in its first match on September 5, while Sochi will open the championship with an away match against Spartak on September 7.
