Earlier, the Ministry of Sports approved the return of the limit of five foreign players in the KHL. Starting from the 2024/25 season, teams in the Russian league will be able to register no more than five foreign hockey players for matches, including a maximum of one foreign goalkeeper. Starting from the 2023/24 season, Russian teams in the Fonbet KHL championship could include no more than three foreigners in the application for matches.
