Athletistic / Hockey. SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg spoke about the presentation of forward Evgeny Kuznetsov. The 32-year-old Russian signed a four-year contract with the Neva military team on July 31.
“The presentation of Evgeny Kuznetsov at the Ice Palace is a historic moment for SKA. Zhenya has already achieved a lot, but I am sure he wants to achieve even more with our club. Many thanks to the fans who filled the stands of the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg tonight. Together, we not only greeted Kuznetsov, but also did a good deed by helping those who really need it now,” Rotenberg wrote on his Telegram channel.
Evgeny Kuznetsov graduated from Chelyabinsk Traktor. In 251 games for his hometown club, the forward scored 167 (78+89) points using the goal+assist system. Kuznetsov has been playing in the NHL since March 2014. He was a player for the Washington Capitals for 10 years, but finished the 2023/2024 season in Carolina. Note that since 2017, the rights to him in the KHL belong to SKA.
