Olympic champion and two-time world hockey champion Jaromir Jagr On social media, he announced that he had been injured before the start of the Czech Championship season.

— I know you are asking why I am not playing in the pre-season games. Unfortunately, I got injured. You have supported me a lot, and thanks to you, I will not give up under any circumstances and I will train. I will return as soon as possible.

I went out for a run, not doing uphill sprints, but steady accelerations. I put weights on my ankles and tore my hamstring. That was about five days ago. The recovery period will take up to six weeks,” Jagr wrote.

Last season, the Czech played 18 matches and scored 6 (1+5) points. Currently, 52-year-old Jagr plays for the Czech club Kladno, which he owns.

Jagr played for NHL club Pittsburgh from 1990 to 2001 and became a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the team. He also played for Washington, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, New Jersey, Florida and Calgary, and in Russia he played for Avangard Omsk.

With the national team, the striker won gold (1998) and bronze (2006) at the Olympic Games and twice won the World Championships (2005, 2010).
