National Hockey League club Nashville trades Russian goaltender Yaroslav Askarov V “San Jose” reports the Predators press service.
The Sharks also received forward Nolan Burke and a third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from Colorado in the trade.
Nashville acquired forward David Edstrom, goaltender Magnus Krona and a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Askarov was selected by Nashville with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He has been playing in the club system since 2022. Last season in the AHL, the 22-year-old played 44 regular season games and averaged 91.1% shooting per game. In the NHL, Askarov has played three games and recorded one win.
