Attack SKA Evgeny Kuznetsov spoke to about his signature style of shooting.
On Friday, SKA beat Sochi on penalties (2:1) in the first match of the tournament Nikolai Puchkov. Kuznetsov scored two attempts and scored the winning shot.
— The absolute highlight of the evening was your two penalty kicks scored in characteristic slow motion style. What were you thinking?
— I scored the first shootout by accident. I won’t say how. And the second shootout went exactly as I had hoped. It was clear that their goalkeeper was holding the pancake on the ground and the space under his arm was opening up.
“It seems like anyone can drive like that at low speed and throw it so abruptly, scoring a goal.” How to train your shootout?
– I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know (smiles). I won’t tell you my secret.
– But all the goalkeepers know what you’re going to do. Why can’t they stop your throw?
“We have to ask them, I don’t know,” Kuznetsov told .
This offseason, Kuznetsov, 32, terminated his contract with Carolina and returned to the KHL. The forward signed a four-year deal with SKA.
