Riabykin – about Kuznetsov’s presentation: “SKA showed an example of how to work with spectators”

Former Avangard and Vityaz coach Dmitry Ryabykin believes that SKA staged an exemplary presentation of striker Evgeny Kuznetsov in St. Petersburg.

SKA announced the signing of a four-year contract with Kuznetsov on July 31. Previously, the hockey player played for Traktor Chelyabinsk, Washington, where he won the Stanley Cup, and for Carolina. On Thursday, a presentation of the player took place in St. Petersburg.

— I would call Kuznetsov’s transfer to SKA the main transfer news of the offseason. SKA has added a high-quality forward with extensive experience in the NHL and the Russian national team to its ranks. Kuznetsov is a KHL superstar, and thanks to his transfer, interest in SKA and the entire league will be much higher. I saw excerpts from yesterday’s presentation and, to be honest, I was amazed by the scale of SKA’s work. The arena is full, people came to take part in a holiday that everyone will remember for a long time. Another sold-out at Ledovoy and a great concert for the audience. SKA has once again set an example for other clubs on how to work with spectators,” Ryabykin was quoted as saying by “Championship”.

The new season of the FONBET Kontinental Hockey League starts on September 3. SKA will open the championship on September 5 with an away match against Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
