The only Finnish hockey player who played in the KHL last season has signed a contract with a German club

Finnish striker Teemu Pulkkinen has signed a contract with Schwenninger Wild Wings, the German club’s press service reports.

The 32-year-old forward’s deal with the Wild Wings is for one season.

Last season, Pulkkinen played for China’s Kunlun Red Star and was Finland’s only representative in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Previously in the KHL, the forward also played for Dynamo Minsk, Dynamo Moscow, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Traktor Chelyabinsk. In total, he played 319 league matches and scored 186 (104+82) points.

The new season of the FONBET KHL Championship starts on September 3.
