Dynamo Moscow striker Nikita Gusev spoke of re-signing the contract with the “blue and white” at the end of July.
Gusev passed “Dynamo” 2023/24 season, becoming the KHL’s top scorer. This offseason, the 32-year-old forward went to try out in North America, but then signed a contract with the Blue and White until the end of the 2024/25 season.
— Why did you sign the contract a little later than usual?
“I immediately discussed the situation with the club, we waited and reached an agreement at the end of July.
— Were you surprised that the team chose you as captain?
“I’ve been a captain more than once, I know what needs to be done.” It’s not always necessary to yell at someone, sometimes it’s enough to explain what needs to be done.
— How difficult will it be to communicate with the press?
“It has never been difficult for me to communicate with the press, if necessary I will always answer questions,” the correspondent reports, according to Gusev’s words.
The new season of the FONBET KHL Championship starts on September 3.
