Metallurg Magnitogorsk forward Daniil Vovchenko told that he is feeling better after a heavy collision in a pre-season tournament match and hopes to rejoin the team soon.
On August 28, in the Ivan Romazan Memorial match with a score of 2:1 in favor of Metallurg, Magnitogorsk team head coach Andrei Razin took the team to the locker room after Vovchenko was hit by a powerful tackle from Neftekhimik defender Roman. Abrosimov and fell unconscious on the ice. The hockey player was taken from the venue on a stretcher in a special fixation device. After watching the video replay, the judges found no violations of the rules on the part of Abrosimov. Metallurg suffered a technical defeat. Vovchenko was diagnosed with a concussion and was discharged from the hospital on August 30.
“My condition seems to be improving already, I don’t have a headache, I don’t feel dizzy, I think I will soon join the team,” Vovchenko said on the air of the program “Everyone for the match!” on the channel.
