The St. Louis defenseman will miss the entire NHL season due to ankle surgery.

Defender “Saint-Louis” Tory Krug will miss the next season in the National Hockey League (NHL ) due to surgery, the club’s press service reports.

The 33-year-old American will soon undergo surgery to correct pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle, due to which he will not be able to help the team in the 2024/25 season. It is worth noting that the decision to perform the operation was made after an attempt to rehabilitate the injury through non-surgical interventions.

Krug has been playing for St. Louis since 2020, his contract with an average annual salary of $6.5 million runs through the end of the 2026/27 season. In total, he has 778 NHL games and 483 (89+394) points.

Three Russian hockey players play for the Blues: forwards Pavel Buchnevich and Alexey Toropchenko, as well as goalie Vadim Zherenko.
