As learned, on Tuesday in Miami, at the age of 74, Vladimir Bure, four-time Olympic medalist in swimming, two-time Stanley Cup winner as coach of the New Jersey Devils, and father of hockey players Pavel and Valery Bure, died.

A few weeks ago, Vladimir Bure was swimming in the ocean and had a heart attack. He was hospitalized; the former athlete complained of severe heart pain. Earlier, Bure Sr. had suffered a stroke.

Vladimir Bure is a silver and three-time bronze medalist at the Olympic Games in swimming, a two-time silver medalist at the World Championships and a European relay champion.

Vladimir Bure became a two-time NHL champion as the strength and conditioning coach of the New Jersey Devils in 2000 and 2003. He also served as vice president of CSKA from 2010 to 2012.
