Honored coach of Russia in hockey Fedor Kanareikine believes that several players will form the SKA Saint Petersburg striker Evgeny Kuznetsov competition for the title of top scorer in the FONBET championship of the Continental Hockey League (KHL ).
SKA announced in July that it had signed Kuznetsov to a four-year contract. The forward previously played for Traktor, Washington, where he won the Stanley Cup, and Carolina.
“I think that no one will give up the title of the best striker to Kuznetsov so easily. There are worthy contenders for this award, so the race for the scorers will be interesting to follow. I will support Goldobin and Poryadin. I think that the best scorer should be Spartak,” Kanareikin told Soviet Sport.
SKA will play against Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Thursday.
