Head Coach “Admiral” Leonid Tambiev reported feeling fine after being hit in the head by the puck.
On Wednesday, in the second period of the FONBET KHL championship match against Vityaz (3:2), a hockey player from a Moscow region club hit Tambiev in the head with a puck. A sports projectile hit the specialist in the back of the head and he started bleeding. The coach was then taken to a room under the stands, where he received medical treatment.
– How are you feeling? Is everything okay?
“Everything is fine, I am alive, I was not ready.” He came, cheered us up a little, brought us back to our senses,” the Admiral’s press service reported, citing Tambiev’s words.
In the next match, Admiral will play away against Kunlun on September 6.
