Forward “Colorado » Nathan McKinnon expects to become the highest-paid player in the NHL under a new contract with the team, according to Colorado Hockey.
According to the source, the hockey player expects under the new deal he will earn more than Edmonton’s Connor McDavid, whose salary is around $12.5 million a year. Under the current contract, McKinnon earns $6.3 million.
McKinnon could become an unrestricted free agent next season.
At the end of the 2021/22 season, the Colorado team hockey player won the Stanley Cup.
