Two-time world champion as a member of the Russian national hockey team Nikolai Kulemin entered into a trial contract with “Ottawa” reports the press service of the Canadian NHL club.
Kulemin, who turned 38 this year, played in the KHL last season with Ufa’s Salavat Yulaev. The forward appeared in 46 regular season games and scored 25 (13+12) points.
Kulemin previously played in the NHL for Toronto (2008-2014) and the New York Islanders (2014-2018).
As a member of the Russian national team, Kulemin won the World Championships in 2012 and 2014, and also twice won silver (2010, 2015) and bronze (2007) with the national team.
