Athletistic/ Hockey. SKA coach Roman Rotenberg appreciated the performance of forward Evgeny Kuznetsov in his first match for the St. Petersburg club in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

On Thursday, the army team lost to Metallurg Magnitogorsk (4:5 in overtime) in an away game of the KHL regular season. Kuznetsov scored with a goal.

SKA announced the signing of Kuznetsov to a four-year contract on July 31.

“We have known Evgeniy for a very long time, we have been working together for several days, so we understand how to play. We need to use our strengths. You are right, emotions need to be controlled and directed in the right direction. It is not easy for Evgeniy – he played in the NHL, where refereeing is different, everything is different, he will get used to it,” Rotenberg was quoted as saying by SKA’s press service.
