Athletistic/Hockey. Former Amur head coach and Admiral Hannu Jortikka from Finland recalled his experience of moving to Russia. In 2011, he headed the Khabarovsk club, where he spent two seasons. Under his leadership, Amur reached the KHL playoffs for the first time in history in the 2011/2012 season. After that, Jortikka worked for six months as the head coach of Admiral.

“I didn’t experience any culture shock in Russia. I had been there several times before and knew what to expect.

It was easy to work with Russian players. They were used to discipline and order. If someone did not respect discipline, he simply was not part of the team, and the players understood this very well,” Iltalehti Jortikku quotes.
