Athletistic / Hockey. Chelyabinsk Traktor general director Alexey Volkov explained the decision to terminate the contract of striker Anton Burdasov. The 33-year-old Russian was the team’s deputy captain last season.
“There was uncertainty about Burdasov as to how he would play in the new season. We thought for a long time whether Anton would be useful to us and whether he would become a problematic hockey player in terms of value for money.

Anton Burdasov played 56 games in the KHL regular season last season, during which he scored 36 (19+17) points using the goal+assist system. In 14 playoff games, the forward scored 8 (4+4) effective plays.
Burdasov continues his career at Barys. He signed a one-year, one-way contract with the Astana team in August.
