Athletistic / Hockey. The general director of Chelyabinsk “Traktor” told how he reacted to Evgeniy Kuznetsov’s decision to return to the KHL, and not to the “bears” camp. The 32-year-old Russian signed a four-year contract with SKA on July 31.
“I don’t think the agent played a big role in Kuznetsov’s decision not to return to SKA. Evgeniy’s priorities were key. He himself explained to everyone that he would now be uncomfortable in Chelyabinsk and that everything here would distract him from hockey. “Almost everyone in this city knows this,” Volkov said, according to Sport-Express.
Evgeniy Kuznetsov graduated from Chelyabinsk Traktor. Before leaving for North America in the KHL, he played exclusively for this team. In the NHL, the forward managed to play for the Washington Capitals (March 2014 – February 2024), with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2018, and for the Carolina Hurricanes (March 2024 – July 2024). SKA traded Kuznetsov’s rights to the KHL in the summer of 2017.
