The 22-year-old Russian opened the scoring in the 8th minute of the first period, then, with the score at 2:4, he assisted his partner Jack Thompson on the power play.
In Anaheim, one of the goals was scored by 20-year-old Belarusian striker Egor Sidorov.
In other games, Russian defender Nikita Novikov scored one of Buffalo’s goals in the game against Pittsburgh (3:2), Boston forward Georgy Merkulov scored an assist in the game against Washington (4:2), Russian Carolina goalie Piotr Kochetkov played the entire game against Tampa (2:1), stopping 22 of 23 shots.
