Rangers head coach expects Panarin to play in preseason games

Head Coach New York Rangers Pierre Laviolette expects Russian striker Artemy Panarin will also play National Hockey League (NHL) preseason games, reporter Molly Walker reported on social media.

Earlier, media reported that Panarin suffered a lower body injury in the NHL preseason game against the New York Islanders (6:4).

The Rangers have four preseason games remaining: a game against Boston and the Islanders, plus two games against New Jersey.

In the first official game of the 2024-25 NHL season, the Rangers will face Pittsburgh on October 9.
