Thursday, Philadelphia beat the New York Islanders (2-0) in a National Hockey League (NHL) preparatory game. Michkov, 19, scored the puck and gave an assist.
– He’s so excited. Every time we’re on the bench, he just wants to get back on the ice. His enthusiasm is contagious, the guys seem to feed off him. It’s great to have that kind of energy around us,” Tippett said per NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The new NHL season begins on October 4.
