“We are not abandoning our own.” Rotenberg reported that striker Emil Galimov joined SKA-Neva

Head coach of SKA Romain Rotenberg reported that the attacker Emile Galimov left the club and will play for SKA-Neva.

Earlier on Friday, reported that the 32-year-old forward was leaving SKA, but due to KHL regulations he would not be able to join Barys. The KHL banned the transfer of a hockey player, since, according to the regulations, more than three players cannot be transferred from one club to another.

— Regarding the situation with Emil Galimov, I can say that we always consider the interests of the player first. Emil will continue to train and play at SKA-Neva, and we, together with his agent and the player himself, will continue to look for an option for him in the KHL despite all objective and subjective difficulties. In our realities, when many top players find themselves out of work for various reasons, it is especially important that Emil retains the opportunity to play – we do not give up ours. I just want to wish him good luck! — wrote Rotenberg on his Telegram channel.

Last season, Galimov scored 5 (1+4) points in 20 games for SKA, adding 2 (1+1) points in eight playoff games. This season, the forward did not participate in official KHL meetings.
