Riga “Dynamo” will play in the Latvian Hockey League (OHL) in the 2022/23 season, the press service of the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation reports.
In addition, Latvian Prism, Riga, Zemgale, Dinaburg, Mogo and Lithuanian Kaunas City, Energiya and Hockey Panks are among the participants of the next season.
— We are happy to expand the OHL and increase the total number of teams. The participation of Lithuanian teams will certainly contribute to the promotion and development of ice hockey in the Baltic region. On behalf of the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation, I wish all teams a good preparation for the season and an exciting championship,” said federation president Aigar Kalvitis.
In February, Dynamo Riga announced their withdrawal from the KHL. The club has been in the league since 2008.
