New NHL club “Utah” placed the Russian attacker on the refusal list Egor Sokolov, reports the team’s press service.
As reported, this decision was made in order to transfer the hockey player to the farm club, the Tucson Roadrunners, which plays in the American Hockey League (AHL).
In July, Sokolov was traded from Ottawa to Utah; the 24-year-old signed a one-year contract with the new club. Last season, the Russian played for Ottawa’s AHL farm club, the Belleville Senators, and scored 46 points (21 goals + 25 assists) in the regular season.
The new NHL season begins on October 4.
