Severstal broke a three-game losing streak; the club occupies fifth place in the Western Conference standings with 12 points. Dynamo (10 points) is seventh.
In the next match, Severstal will travel to Sochi, and Dynamo will host Admiral Vladivostok. Both meetings will take place on October 1.
