Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” became the second team in KHL history to see 10 different players score in a single game, the league’s press service reports.
On Monday, Torpedo defeated Barys in Astana with a score of 10: 1. Dmitry Kagarlitsky, Nikita Artamonov, Mikhail Orlov, Bobby Lynch, Nikita Shavin, Denis Pochivalov, Mikhail Abramov, Sergei Goncharuk, Vladislav Firstov and Evgeniy Svechnikov scored goals for the Nizhny Novgorod team.
This is the second time in KHL history that 10 different hockey players have scored on the same team. This happened for the first time on August 31, 2017, when Salavat Yulaev defeated Sochi – 11: 3.
Additionally, Torpedo became the eighth team to score at least 10 goals in a KHL game. Previously, this feat was achieved by CSKA (12 goals), Ak Bars, Barys, Salavat Yulaev (11 each), Neftekhimik, Severstal and SKA (10 each).
Igor Larionov’s team won the fourth game in a row, scored 13 points and occupies third place in the Western Conference standings. In the next match on October 7, Torpedo will host Kunlun Red Star.
