NHL salary cap could increase next season

Commissioner of the National Hockey League (NHL) Gary Bettman said the salary cap next season could increase as much as $92.5 million, according to the NHL press service.

The salary cap is expected to be around $92.5 million, an increase of $4.5 million from this season’s $88 million. However, Bettman cautioned that these figures are “too preliminary.”

It also became known that the NHL and the NHL Players’ Association would begin negotiations on a new collective agreement in early 2025.

The new NHL season begins on October 4.
