The Jets will play Anaheim on Ukrainian Heritage Night on January 2
Winnipeg Jets presented a special team logo for the event Ukrainian Heritage Night.
The emblem includes geometric patterns from Ukrainian embroidery. The design contains eight-pointed stars, stylized as hollyhocks. The traditional colors of Ukrainian embroidery, black, red and white, are complemented by blue and yellow – the national colors of Ukraine, which are also important in Manitoba, Canada.
The logo was designed by Ukrainian Andrey Sobchuk. The graphic designer was born in Lutsk and moved to Canada in 2022 after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Jets will host their first Ukrainian Heritage Night on January 2, 2025 against Anaheim. The game will be dedicated to the Ukrainian community of Manitoba.
