NHL: Utah beats Chicago in first game in history

The Salt Lake City club made a successful start to the regular season of the National Hockey League.

The new NHL season has begun. The teams really kicked it off on October 4-5, when New Jersey beat Buffalo twice. However, these matches were played in Prague, as part of the European tour, and tonight the clubs began to compete fully in their own areas.

The first match in its history was played by the Utah team, which moved to Salt Lake from Arizona last summer. The opener easily beat Chicago 5-2 at home.

Utah, still playing without a full name, was able to please new fans with a strong victory. Connor Bedard scored two points for the Black Hawks.

Florida – Boston 6:4

Utah – Chicago 5:2
