Moscow “Spartacus” defeated Kazan “AK Bars” during a charity match in memory of the double Olympic champion Vladimir Shadrin.
The match took place in Moscow at the Luzhniki ISA and ended with the score 3:2 in favor of the Red-Whites. The winning team’s pucks have been thrown Dmitry Vishnevsky (18th minute) Roman Starchenko (39) and Dmitry Kugrychev (60). Kazan excelled Daniil Tarasov (25) and Alexander Radulov (60).
Shadrin played for Spartak from 1965 to 1979. As part of the USSR national team, he twice won Olympic Games gold (1972, 1976) and also became a five-time world champion (1970 , 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975). Shadrin passed away
on August 26, 2021 at the age of 73.
