Hockey club “Locomotive” extended contract with head coach Igor Nikitin reports the team’s press service.
The new agreement with the 51-year-old specialist will be valid until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
Igor Nikitin led the Yaroslavl team in September 2021. Under his leadership, Lokomotiv became winner of the Western Conference Cup, silver medalist of the KHL championship, and also reached the final of the Gagarin Cup in 2024.
Previously, Nikitin was head coach of Siberia and CSKA. With the Moscow team he won the Gagarin Cup.
