Earlier, Lilya, who reached an agreement with Dynamo even before the start of the events in Ukraine in February, admitted that he does not want to play in the Continental Hockey League. The striker said he wanted to buy a contract from the Moscow club, but he didn’t have enough money.
Lilya spent the previous two seasons with the Kazakh Barys. In total, he played 117 games in the KHL, scoring 66 (39+27) points.
