The Canadian forward suffered a lower-body injury Oct. 28 against Columbus and was forced off the ice in the first period. In total, he played 37 seconds in this match.
Oilers captain Connor McDavid injured his ankle during Monday’s game in Columbus and is expected to return to action in two to three weeks, Edmonton said in a statement.
This season, McDavid, 27, scored 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in nine regular season games.
