The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, said that in the near future in-depth checks will be carried out in the region on how the football club “The Wings of the Soviets” and hockey “Lada” spend budget funds.
“I decided to conduct comprehensive audits over the next two months of how professional sports clubs in the Samara region spend budget funds. Our goal is not to reduce costs. We have set ourselves the goal of increasing the efficiency of club management and ensuring financial discipline. We will certainly develop our teams in accordance with the guidelines of the federal center and our ideas. Clubs must play at a high level and involve young people and fans in their activities as much as possible. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the interests of the region and develop mass sport,” Fedorishchev wrote on his Telegram channel.
Samara “Wings of the Soviets”, having scored 12 points in 13 matches, occupies tenth place in the MIR ranking of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
Togliatti Lada, who scored 21 points in 21 matches of the FONBET KHL championship, occupies seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
