Kyiv-Capitals defeated Kherson Dnieper in a home match Ukrainian hockey championship – 5:3.
In the first period, the capital’s team essentially decided the outcome of the match by scoring three unanswered goals. For the next 20 minutes the score remained unchanged. In the final period, the hosts brought the score to 5:0, but Dnipro managed to score three times in the last two minutes, thus avoiding a major defeat.
Kyiv Capitals started the new season with a victory. For Dnepr, this match was not the first in the championship. Let us remind you that in the opening match of the season, the Kherson team lost to Kremenchug away (3:10) with a double-digit score. In addition, the Odessa Storm beat the Kiev Sokol (4:3 B) in shootouts.
The championship, which after the split in the FHU is not recognized as an official competition by the “old” Federation led by Gennady Zubko, will continue next week. On Tuesday, November 5, Storm will play against Kremenchuk.
