Russian captain “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin was recognized as the first star following the results of the National Hockey League game week, the NHL press service reports.
The Russian striker has scored five goals and made four assists in four matches. Ovechkin scored points in all four games this week.
The second star was Carolina forward Martin Necas, who had 9 (3+6) points in three games.
Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby was named the third star. The Canadian forward scored 7 (4+3) points in three games.
