Sergey will also be responsible for the development of children’s and youth sports with the team
Former forward Sergey Babinets joined the coaching staff of Odessa Storm.
The club announced the appointment of a new coach. Babinets led Storm in the last match with Kremenchug (3:1), while other Odessa coaches Alexander Bobkin and Ruslan Borisenko went to a training camp with the Ukrainian youth team.
It is reported that Sergei’s work will not be limited to helping Bobkin. Babinets will also be responsible for the development of the club’s children’s and youth activities.
Let us remind you that Babinets retired from his career in May. Sergei went to work for the Ukrainian Hockey Federation and also became the director of the Ukrainian Hockey League. Note that the new Ukrainian championship, in which Storm is participating, started without the status of FHU and UHL.
Odessa residents won two victories at the start of the new tournament. Storm will play their next match on November 9 against the Kyiv Capitals.
