russian striker Egor Afanasyev talked about his desire to debut for “Nashville Predators” next season in the National Hockey League (NHL).
– I will try to do everything in my power to get into the main team. It was my first professional season in North America and I think it was a good and successful season. I learned a lot. I think it was a great experience.
Sometimes you wake up lazy in the summer. You have to flip that switch and be motivated every day because everyone wants to play in the NHL. I’m one of those guys who wants to be there, – Afanasyev quotes the official NHL website.
Afanasiev was selected by Nashville in the draft NHL – 2019 in the second round under the general number 45, but did not debut for the club in official matches.
Last season, the 21-year-old forward played 74 games with the Predators farm club in the AHL regular season and scored 33 (12+21) points. Also because of his 5 playoff games.
