“Traktor” looked dull in the home series” – Balandin

Former director “Tractors” Andrey Balandin believes that the Chelyabinsk team did not show a match of its level during the series of home matches of the FONBET KHL championship.

In three home matches, Traktor suffered defeats to Avtomobilist (4:5) and Lokomotiv (3:5), and also beat Sibir (5:0).

— I didn’t like Traktor in the home series, the team looked dull. I would like to highlight the poor performance of the defense: three goals were conceded after serious errors by the defenders. We can even call them childish mistakes; in the past, they were simply removed from the masters team for such things. And in attack we have to play with more power, more boldness, get into the goal, create more chances.

Maxim Shabanov’s piece is a wake-up call; the decline drags on. He stopped getting angry and started playing more passes. Shabanov needs to improve. The attacker must not only pass the ball, but also shoot the pucks. He was ready to continue the thread of last season, succeeded in doing so and, apparently, calmed down. The same goes for Semyon Der-Arguchintsev. When he came out after an injury, there was so much excitement and fighting spirit, but after a few matches the thirst for the game disappeared. I am also looking forward to some new blood in the team. Traktor is already in first place in the conference, so there is nothing to worry about. You can give young people a whiff of gunpowder so that they can then complete their MHL and VHL teams,” Balandin said, as quoted by RB Sport.

Chelyabinsk with 34 points occupies first place in the Eastern Conference standings. In the next match, Benoît Grou’s team will face the Admiral on November 9.
