– The main thing is that he is healthy and loves what he does. I never force my children, I don’t push them to anything. I just support. It is his desire, and my task as a father is to do everything possible to be with him as often as possible.
– You are engaged in physical training with Evgeni Malkin. Is he thrilled that he has signed a new contract with Pittsburgh?
– I don’t think he was really worried about the contract. He was finally signed, and it’s business – so they say in America. Someone took a break, someone wanted to pay less, Zhenya’s team wanted to get more. The end result suited everyone.
Malkin is in good shape.
– He is in top form ! And it’s very important for him to play his whole life in a team. where he succeeded. He seems to miss a few games out of a thousand.

He will train and get even angrier, even stronger, when he comes back.
– Avangard is moving to a new arena. What would you say to the fans of the team that won the Gagarin Cup in 2021?
– Big event for fans! First of all, I must say thank you to the management of Gazpromneft. They built such an object, despite all the difficulties and the fact that the junior world championship was moved to another place. But they fulfilled all their obligations to the city. And it’s great when such arenas are built in Russia. They have a great school for children, I was there at the academy. Excellent infrastructure. Club Avangard is in good hands. And I think this victory in the Gagarin Cup will restore their confidence, give them a new experience.
