The hockey player who helped Ovechkin score his 800th NHL goal is out for the rest of the season

Attack “Calgary” Anthony Mantha was out of action for the remainder of the season due to a cruciate knee ligament injury.

The 30-year-old Canadian will undergo surgery and will no longer play in the current championship, according to the Flames and NHL press services.

This season, Mantha, who signed a one-year contract worth $3.5 million this summer, played 13 games and scored 7 (4+3) points.

During his career, Mantha has also played for Detroit, Vegas and Washington, where he played from 2021 to 2024. On December 13, 2022, it was Mantha who provided the assist to Russian Alexander Ovechkin to score his 800th goal in the NHL.
