Washington forward Dylan Stromé declared that Alexander Ovechkin will continue to score goals if the team continues to play well.
This season, Ovechkin, 39, scored 18 (10+8) points in 14 regular season games.
“We’re going to try to keep winning.” The more we win, the more we score. The more we score, the more he scores. It’s a good recipe,” Strome quotes Washington social media as saying.
Washington has 20 points in 14 games and ranks fourth in the Eastern Conference.
Ovechkin, 39, ranks second in the list of best snipers in regular NHL championships (863 goals), just behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky (894).
