Metallurg coach Razin appealed to the authorities of the Samara region with a request to keep Lada in the KHL

Head coach of Magnitogorsk “Metallurgy” Andrei Razin appealed to the government of the Samara region with a request to preserve Togliatti “Lada” in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Earlier, Lada head coach Oleg Bratash, who left the team on Friday, said that due to financial difficulties the club may not participate in the next KHL season. On Saturday, Lada lost on penalties to Metallurg (1:2) in the home match of the FONBET KHL Championship.

— I would like to appeal to the authorities of the Samara region, the governor. Yesterday and today they said that Lada may no longer be in the KHL. “Lada” is the first non-champion club in Moscow, it has many students who also work as coaches. It’s sad to see the school is wasting away, the team isn’t particularly impressive, as there is no funding as such. The guys are great at fighting and trying. It’s hard to watch.

If possible, please don’t give up hockey. It’s a great outlet for the population, people and families,” reports Razine’s remarks, according to a correspondent.
