Rybin: “KHL 3×3 tournament can be the future if everything is done right”

Former SKA striker Maxime Rybine positively assessed the new tournament in the 3×3 format under the auspices of the Continental Hockey League.

The presentation of the KHL 3×3 championship took place on Monday at the press center. Eight teams will participate in the tournament; The first ever KHL 3×3 championship will begin on December 19.

– Soul and body with two hands and behind. This is a new turning point. It depends on the attitude of management. What will be the lighting, the presentation, the scale, the diffusion. This can make a very good and promising project, in my opinion. If everything is done correctly. So that it doesn’t turn out to be some sort of temporary thing. This could be the future,” Rybin told Soviet Sport.

The participants of the first season of the KHL 3×3 championship were Avangard (Omsk), Barys (Astana), Metallurg (Magnitogorsk), Salavat Yulaev (Ufa), Ak Bars (Kazan), Dynamo (Minsk), “Sibir” (Novosibirsk) and “Traktor” (Chelyabinsk). The tournament will take place from December 19 to July 13.
