Ovechkin will be out four to six weeks with broken leg

Before “Washington » Alexander Ovechkin will be absent four to six weeks due to a fractured left fibula, reports the team’s press service.

On Monday, Ovechkin injured his leg late in the NHL regular season game against Utah (6:2).

— Captain Alex Ovechkin underwent additional examination by team doctors. Ovechkin has been confirmed to have a fractured left fibula and is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks, Washington said in a statement.

In the 2024/25 season, 39-year-old Ovechkin scored 15 goals. In total, he has 868 goals in the NHL, 26 goals behind Wayne Gretzky’s record (894).
