Alexander Chebotarev told that he himself decided to leave the post of general director of the Togliatti hockey club “Lada” .
On Thursday, the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, announced that Chebotarev was leaving the post of general director of Lada.
— Even when we were playing in Moscow with Dynamo, I informed the governor of my intention to resign. It’s my decision, the only question was time. Now ten days have passed and, most likely, they were looking for a successor. For now, I am still the general manager of the team, as the formal procedures are underway. The biggest problem concerns the right to sign when working with budget funds; it takes a lot of time. I can’t leave the club without signing the documents. I think in a week or two I will find a new job.
— What are your plans for future work?
— There are several job offers in sport. I’m still thinking. We have to take a vacation first,” Chebotarev told .
Chebotarev was appointed general manager of Lada in April 2021. The club returned to the KHL before the start of the 2023/24 season.
Lada occupies eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 25 points. On Thursday, the Togliatti team lost on home ice against Salavat Yulaev from Ufa in a shootout – 1:2.
